Whole Grilled Chicken:
Preparation: 55 minutes
Grilled Chicken is among the world's most popular dishes. This stringy, spicy delicious chicken arouses the appetite.
Making this dish at home is special at times when I plan to have get together at my home place with close family and friends or take it away to the beach and park and have fun.
Let's learn the way we prepare!
1 Full Chicken with skin (900 gms)
1 cup Yogurt
1 tsp Ginger garlic Paste
1 ½ tsp Red Chilli pwd
1 tsp Kashmiri Chilli pwd
½ Black pepper pwd
½ cumin powder
2 tsp salt
½ garam masala
1 whole big lemon juice divide into two parts
¼ cup cooking oil (in two parts)
1 tsp Red Chilli Flakes
1 tsp Oregano flakes
Wash the full chicken thoroughly and make cuttings on it so that when coated with a coating of masala it reaches the inner core of the chicken.
And then take a bowl and add one part of lemon juice and turmeric in a cup of water and cleanse it thoroughly.
Remove the chicken and pat dry.
Making of Masala Paste:
Take a bowl add Yogurt, Ginger garlic paste, Red chilli pwd, Kashmiri chilli pwd, Black pepper pwd, Cumin pwd, Salt, Garam masala, Lemon juice and Cooking oil mix well.
Now finely rub the masala paste over the chicken and close the lid and keep for marination in the refrigerator for at least 5-6hrs.
Then take out the whole chicken and insert some diced onion, lemon, garlic cloves and coriander in the stomach part of the chicken. This will add more taste to the chicken.( Point 2. Is optional)
Preheat the grill for 15 mins (using coal).
Then brush the marinated chicken with oil, sprinkle Red chilli flakes and Oregano flakes and then place the chicken in the Grill.
Cook each side for 15 minutes(totally 30 mins).
Once the surface of the chicken turns golden brown and the chicken tender, it is ready to serve.
Serve with Paratha and Mayonnaise/Ketchup/Salad.
