Aval also called as beaten or flattened rice is one of the popular recipes all over india. Aval is enjoyed widely because of its nutritional content and also taste. Poha /aval is loved by all because it is easy to cook, easy to digest and many varieties can be prepared. This sweet poha recipe is a super quick and no fire recipe and it can turn out to be a perfect filling breakfast to prepare easily especially for the bachelors during this lockdown period and it requires very minimal basic ingredients too.
I fondly remember my beloved (late )mom making balls of sweet aval mixed with banana for a very yummy and delicious snack or dinner time meal and i used to enjoy every bite of it
Brown Poha (aval)– 1 cup Jaggery – 1/2 -3/4 cup Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp Coconut – 2 to 3 tbsp Method: Rince poha well then soak it in water till it becomes soft and all poha is slightly wet. Crush jaggery into pieces and add the crushed jaggery and grated coconut to poha and combine well. Add a pinch of cardamom powder, give a quick mix and your sweet poiha is ready in minutes. Can be served for breakfast or evening snack or any time fillong snack.
