The word

Pizza comes from the Greek word “pitta” meaning ”pie”. Modern birthplace of Pizza is southwestern Italy's Campania region. It entered India in 1996 and since then it is a popular fast food chain. Pizza Hut, Dominos etc.

Pizza dough is made with all purpose flour and active yeast. Adding to that sweet tomato sauce and varieties of topping make the dish delightful.

Having loads of healthy, nutrient rich veggies and Cheese gives you a perfect match for a better balanced meal.

I make sure to cook once in a while as this dish is kids favorite. And can be made easily for birthday parties to celebrate at home.

  • 2 Cups All Purpose flour

  • 1 pack of active Dry Yeast

  • ¾ cup warm Water

  • 2 tsp Sugar

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1 tbsp Oil


  • 1 tsp All purpose flour/Maida

  • 1 cup Tomato puree

  • 1 tsp Chili powder

  • 2-3 Cloves chopped

  • ½ tsp Oregano

  • 1 tsp Sugar

  • 1 tbsp Oil

  • 1 tsp Salt


  • 2 cup Mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup Olives

  • ½ cup Jalapeno

  • ½ cup Tomato

  • ½ cup Onion

  • ½ cup Corn


Pizza Base

  1. To make the dough, Take a bowl, add active dry yeast and a little amount of warm water and rest it for 5-8 minutes until the yeast rises.

  2. Later add into the bowl all purpose flour, salt and sugar. Knead well until it forms a medium soft dough then rest it for 30 minutes you may see the dough has changed to the double sized already. Therefore It is ready to make the base.

  3. Roll the dough using a roller into circular shapes evenly and prick it with a fork.

Pizza Sauce:

  1. Take a saucepan and place it in medium flame, add oil and all purpose flour and stir for a minute.

  2. Then add tomato puree, chili powder, cloves, oregano sugar and salt. Stir well until thickened at least for 10 minutes.

  3. As you sense the aroma, turn off the stove and let it cool down.


  1. Now Chop down all the toppings precisely.

  2. Take the pizza base and spread the pizza sauce over it and add the toppings and lastly add the mozzarella cheese generously!

  3. Take a pan and preheat it in a medium flame for 10 minutes. Now place the pizza base and close the lid and cook it in medium flame for 10 minutes.

  4. As the pizza base is cooked well and the cheese melts completely it's ready to be served.

Serve it with ketchup and a soft drink. Enjoy this delightfully delicious pizza with your loved ones.
