CHAPATHI (ROTI) : Healthy Diet Recipe

Chapati or flat breads are made from whole wheat flour and water. Oil and salt may or may not be added. I added some salt and oil to the dough. Also, I add an equal amount of water slowly so that the wheat absorbs the water and becomes soft and I keep the kneaded flour at least for 15 minutes


500 gms Wheat Flour

1 tsp Salt

1 tbl Spoon Vegetable Oil

500 ml Water

In a vessel add the Wheat flour, salt, Vegetable oil and water and knead well. Add water slowly, I usually have a teaspoon and add 3 spoons at a time. Cover with a damp cloth (slightly wet cloth) and keep aside for 15 minutes. Create round shaped balls and using a rolling pin roll them into circular-shaped flat breads. On a hot pan but which is at a low flame, spread some oil, put this rolled chapati and cook both sides. Serve with any side dish of your choice, enjoy with family and friends
