“Insalata Caprese” literally means Simply Caprese is a simple Italian salad that can be made effortlessly. It is a fresh, healthy, flavourful and colorful salad that represents the color of the Italian flag and a summer day salad for a perfect diet.

It's made of sliced fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and sweet basil, seasoned with salt, black pepper, and olive oil. It is usually arranged on a plate in restaurant practice.

Tomatoes are a great source of your daily vitamins. Mozzarella is rich in potassium, iron, sodium, and chloride.

I like to cut the tomatoes and mozzarella cheese in a circular shape and arrange in different styled platters.

Caprese salad is impressive and beautiful for parties.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 Tomatoes (medium sized)

  • 400 gm Mozzarella Cheese

  • 3-4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • Few Basil Leaves

  • Black Pepper and Salt to taste


Method

  1. Take tomatoes and slice them in a circular shape and place it on a platter.

  2. Now take the mozzarella Cheese bar and cut them in circular shape and tuck them in between the tomatoes.

  3. Then place the basil leaves over the mozzarella cheese.

  4. Now for the seasoning, spill the extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle the black pepper powder and salt to taste over the salad generously .

  5. Therefore the Caprese salad is ready to be served.
