Almonds or Badam



Almonds or Badams have always been very popular. They can be found almost anywhere. You might find almonds in a box resting on someone’s kitchen shelf, or in a Restaurant’s serving of a delicious and colorful ice cream sundae. Almonds are a superb snack in itself, but they also manage to make other foods even better, such as milk and cereals. Consuming them in their solid state always leads to a satisfying crunch. Feasting on some smooth and soft ice cream, followed by a hard and crunchy almond can be described as a party for taste buds. The obsession of almonds could be due to its versatility and numerous health benefits such as:

  • The massive amount of nutrients varying from fiber, protein, and magnesium.

  • Almonds are loaded with antioxidants, which could prevent aging and disease.

  • They also are a rich source of magnesium, which may offer major improvements for diabetics.

  • The high amounts of magnesium in almonds also benefits blood pressure level.

  • Almonds are high in calories, but they do not promote weight gain. They actually do the opposite by reducing your hunger through their high fiber and protein content.
